The Prince Couple visits iCell

2015-10-06

The insulation boards were neatly stacked, students from the music school were playing, and the red carpet was rolled out. Today, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia visited the iCell factory in Älvdalen. Princess Sofia grew up in Älvdalen and today the couple paid their first official visit to her home town.

Roger Gudmundsäter, CEO of iCell, and Peter Egardt, local government commissioner of Älvdalen, received the Prince Couple. They were given a tour of the factory, enjoyed a factory-style coffee break, and wrote their autographs on iCell’s own “wall of fame“. Local products were on the menu, such as sausages with bread from Siljans Chark, served with LillElla’s mustard, and the company CandyKing provided sweet treats. Students from Älvdalen’s music school performed, and school children waved their home-made flags and offered the Prince Couple flowers.

The team at iCell would like to thank the Prince Couple for their visit – and we also extend our gratitude to Älvdalen municipality and everybody else who helped make this a memorable day!
