You can now apply for energy efficiency grants if you heat your house with electricity or gas. If your house is heated by electricity or gas, you are now entitled to apply for energy efficiency grants, for a total of SEK 60,000 if you take measures in both the heating system and the building envelope.
From the beginning of July this year, those with houses heated by gas or electricity can apply for energy efficiency grants. This includes everything from installing a heat pump to connecting the house to the district heating network. Or insulating with the right additional insulation, of course, says Joakim Jönsson, Key Account Manager at iCell, which produces and supplies climate-smart cellulose insulation, a natural organic material. You can apply for grants for material costs, but not for labor costs. However, this means that the ROT deduction is also applicable.
– The high energy prices of the past winter have been a major and noticeable challenge for many of us. The small house grant should be seen as a complement to electricity price support to streamline and reduce the electricity and gas needs of the small house stock in the short and long term, and in this way make those who live in small houses better prepared for any future challenges. A reduced gas and electricity demand within the small house stock will also contribute positively to the transition to a fossil-free energy system, says Minister for Energy and Industry Ebba Busch.
To be entitled to the grant, you must own and live in the house to which the application applies. It can then amount to 50 percent of the grant-eligible costs, and a maximum of SEK 30,000 per approved application.
A small house owner who takes measures in both the heating system and the building envelope can receive up to SEK 60,000, the government writes in a press release.
